Unauthenticated user disclosure via unsanitized export query
Published Nov 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Contest Gallery before 13.1.0.6 allows remote attackers to read user names and email addresses via crafted export requests. The unauthenticated user-export handler passes the cg-search-user-name-original POST value into a SQL statement without capability checks, sanitization, or escaping. A reachable WordPress administration endpoint is sufficient; the published proof of concept extracts database output through a UNION query.
