CVE-2021-24913Network attack vector

Arbitrary media metadata changes via missing CSRF check

Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in InfornWeb Logo Showcase before 2.0.1 allows remote attackers to alter arbitrary uploaded media metadata. The lswss_save_attachment_data AJAX action accepts state-changing requests without validating a WordPress nonce before writing title, description, alt text, and URL fields. Exploitation requires a logged-in high-privilege user to submit an attacker-crafted request, and the resulting impact is limited to unauthorized media metadata changes.
