Stored XSS via forged unsanitized translation
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Transposh WordPress Translation before 1.0.8 allows attackers to run script in an administrator's browser via CSRF. The tp_translation AJAX action accepts a forged translation request without a CSRF check and stores the unsanitized tk0 value. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit the attacker's form; the stored payload then executes with that administrator's browser privileges.
