Administrator-session script execution via unescaped translation input
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Transposh WordPress Translation before 1.0.8 allows attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The tp_translation AJAX action stores the tk0 parameter without sanitizing or escaping it, then renders the value in the plugin dashboard. The required translator role depends on the Who can translate setting; dashboard access triggers code in the administrator's session.
