Stored cross-site scripting via unsafe confirmation HTML
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Business Directory Team Formidable Forms before 4.09.05 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The confirmModal function inserts attacker-controlled data-frmverify and data-frmcaution values into .frm-confirm-msg with jQuery.html instead of text nodes. Execution requires an authenticated user to inspect the malicious entry and follow its injected link, after which script runs with that user's WordPress session privileges.
