Stored script execution via forged ticket filter
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in PSM Web Solutions SupportCandy before 2.2.7 allows remote attackers to execute script in a dashboard user's browser. The wpsc_tickets AJAX action accepts a set_custom_filter request without a CSRF check, stores an unsanitized custom_filter[s] value in the victim's cookies, and renders it without escaping. Exploitation requires social engineering of a logged-in user with ticket-list access; the payload executes when that user opens the ticket dashboard.
