Script execution via unescaped settings search attribute
Published Nov 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in impleCode eCommerce Product Catalog before 3.0.39 allows remote attackers to execute script through a crafted settings URL. The plugin writes the ic-settings-search query parameter into an HTML attribute without escaping it, allowing attribute breakout and script injection. An authenticated administrator must open the crafted settings-page URL, after which the script runs within that administrator's site origin.
