Administrator-session script execution via unescaped form parameters
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in the Brevo plugin for WordPress before 3.1.31 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The administrative form editor writes the lang and pid request parameters into HTML attributes without output escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open a crafted wp-admin form-edit URL, exposing that browser session to unauthorized data access or actions permitted by the administrator's WordPress privileges.
