Administrator SQL injection via unescaped post ID
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in WP Cloudy before 4.4.9 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through post_id. The wpc_duplicate_post_as_draft admin action places the post_id value into a SQL statement without escaping it, allowing appended SQL to reach the query. Administrator access to the WordPress dashboard is required; successful injection can read or alter data available to the site database account.
