Administrator SQL injection via unsanitized orderby parameter
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Tips and Tricks HQ Affiliates Manager before 2.8.7 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries. The Export Data view passes the orderby query parameter into an admin-dashboard SQL statement without validation, permitting crafted SQL expressions such as a time-delay condition. WordPress Administrator privileges, an authenticated session, and a valid export nonce are required; the published proof of concept demonstrates a database-query delay.
