Arbitrary ticket deletion via unchecked AJAX request
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in SupportCandy before 2.2.7 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary tickets through an administrator's browser. The wpsc_tickets AJAX action accepts set_delete_permanently_bulk_ticket requests without verifying an anti-CSRF nonce and deletes the supplied ticket_id. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to load attacker-controlled content that submits the forged request, and the demonstrated consequence is permanent ticket deletion.
