Unauthenticated ticket deletion via unchecked AJAX action
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in SupportCandy before 2.2.5 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary support tickets through an AJAX request. The wpsc_tickets AJAX action accepts the set_delete_permanently_bulk_ticket operation and attacker-supplied ticket_id values without authorization or CSRF checks. No account or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation permanently removes selected ticket records from the helpdesk.
