Stored script execution via unescaped settings output
Published Nov 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Advanced Access Manager before 6.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator's browser. The settings views insert stored configuration values into administrative HTML without output escaping. A high-privilege account lacking unfiltered_html must save a crafted setting, and another user must view the affected output, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
