Authenticated SQL injection via today_traffic_index AJAX handler
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in WP-Buy Visitor Traffic Real Time Statistics before 3.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL queries. The today_traffic_index AJAX handler inserts unvalidated and unescaped request input into a SQL statement, and a crafted start value reaches that query. Any authenticated WordPress account, including a subscriber, can trigger the handler; the demonstrated time-based payload confirms database query control, while available evidence establishes no narrower data or system consequence.
