Authenticated file disclosure and PHP inclusion via load
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Local file inclusion in Eliot Akira Custom Content Shortcode before 4.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to display files or execute PHP files. The load shortcode accepts unvalidated dir and file attributes and includes the resulting filesystem path, displaying non-PHP contents and evaluating PHP files. Contributor-level access is sufficient before 4.0.1; through 4.0.1, an Administrator is required, and default single-site exposure ends when unfiltered_html or file_edit is disallowed.
