Administrator-level stored XSS via unescaped button field
Published Nov 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Accept Donations with PayPal & Stripe before 1.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an administrator browser. The button editor stores the wpedon_button_scpriceprice Amount Menu Name value and writes it into an HTML attribute without escaping, so injected event-handler markup executes when the button is edited. Administrator-level access is required, and exploitation changes plugin content and depends on a user opening the affected button editor; the reported impact is script execution in that browser.
