Stored script execution via unescaped imported link title
Published Nov 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WPDeveloper BetterLinks before 1.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to store scripts through a malicious CSV import. The CSV importer accepts a crafted link_title value without sanitizing it, and the Manage Links page renders that value without escaping. Administrator access is required to import the file, and the payload executes when an authenticated user opens the Manage Links page.
