Stored script execution via unsanitized chat notes
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Schiocco Support Board before 3.3.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via chat notes. The add-note AJAX function accepts a script-bearing message parameter and stores it for later rendering in the chat view without neutralization. Agent-level access is required to plant the payload, and script execution occurs when an administrator or another authenticated user opens the affected chat.
