CVE-2021-24796Network attack vector

Administrator script execution via unescaped ticket email

Published Nov 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Stored XSS in Joe Dolson's ticketing plugin before 1.8.31 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator browser via ticket email. The booking flow stores the Email field without adequate sanitization, and the Payment admin dashboard renders it without escaping. No account is required to submit the payload, but execution requires an administrator to view the affected payment record, exposing session data and administrative actions.
