Stored XSS via unescaped campaign Feed URL
Published Nov 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher before 2.6.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a Feed URL. The campaign editor stores the Feed URL and later writes it into an HTML attribute without escaping, so a crafted quote closes the attribute and injects script. An administrator-level account must create or edit the campaign, and the script runs when the campaign is edited again or executed.
