Stored XSS via unescaped quote fields
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Great Quotes 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Quote or Author fields. The plugin stores those fields without sanitizing them and outputs their values without context-appropriate escaping. Administrator-level access is required even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and execution occurs when another user views a stored quote.
