Admin login logo replacement via nonce-free request
Published Dec 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in WP Admin Logo Changer 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to replace the admin login logo through an administrator session. The settings handler accepts a save_logo POST containing an attacker-controlled image_url and saves it without verifying a nonce or request intent. An administrator must be logged in and induced to load attacker-controlled content; the resulting request changes the site's login branding.
