Unauthenticated SQL injection via question_id parameter
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Perfect Survey before 1.5.2 allows remote attackers to read or alter WordPress database data without authentication. The get_question AJAX action places the unvalidated and unescaped question_id GET value directly into an SQL statement. Exploitation requires question_id to begin with an existing post ID, after which a crafted UNION query can disclose WordPress usernames and password hashes or manipulate database data.
