Administrator SQL injection via dashboard sorting parameters
Published Nov 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Sudar Muthu Email Log before 2.4.7 allows remote authenticated users to control database queries through dashboard sorting. On the admin log-list page, the plugin inserts the orderby and order GET values into an SQL statement without validation, sanitization, or escaping. WordPress administrator access is required; the published proof of concept uses injected SLEEP expressions to delay database responses.
