Administrator SQL injection via unsanitized order parameter
Published Oct 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in MainWP Child Reports before 2.0.8 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries through the admin dashboard. The admin dashboard inserts the order parameter into an SQL statement without validation or sanitization, and a published time-delay payload demonstrates control of query execution. WordPress administrator access is required, and the public proof of concept demonstrates a five-second database delay rather than data extraction or modification.
