Administrator-level SQL injection via unescaped sorting parameters
Published Nov 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Email Before Download before 6.8 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute injected database expressions. The plugin inserts the order and orderby GET parameters from its administrative link-list page into SQL statements without validation or escaping. An administrator session is required; the published proof of concept uses time-delay expressions to demonstrate database-query control.
