Reflected XSS via unescaped post URL
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Heateor Support Sassy Social Share before 3.3.40 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted post URL. The plugin inserts the viewed post URL into an onclick attribute without escaping it, so quote and tag characters become executable markup. The default-enabled More icon exposes the path, but a victim must open the crafted URL; injected script then runs in that visitor's browser context.
