Private-post disclosure via user-controlled duplication ID
Published Dec 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Authorization bypass in ShapedPlugin LLC Logo Carousel before 3.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to view others' private posts. The Carousel Duplication action accepts the post query parameter as the source object identifier and clones the referenced post without checking whether the caller may access that post. Contributor-level access and a valid duplication nonce are required; changing the post ID creates a viewable copy of another user's private post.
