Admin stored XSS via unsanitized settings
Published Nov 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in CreativeMinds CM Video Lessons Manager before 1.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted settings values. The settings update handlers store channel or channels values without proper sanitization or escaping, so a crafted payload executes when the settings page is viewed later. High-privilege access is required, and script execution occurs in an administrator’s browser session, enabling actions available to that session.
