Administrator-level stored XSS via unsanitized identity token
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Learning Courses before 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the Email PDT identity token setting. The plugin saves the submitted setting without sanitization and renders it without output escaping, preserving attacker-controlled script. Administrator-level access is required even when unfiltered_html is disabled, and execution requires another user to view the affected output.
