Cross-site scripting in Tips and Tricks HQ Simple Download Monitor before 3.9.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via File Thumbnail. The plugin outputs the File Thumbnail post meta without escaping on affected pages, allowing a Contributor to store JavaScript that runs when a reviewer views a download, including downloads in review. Reviewer interaction is required, and the script can act with that user's privileges to create an administrator account or install a plugin.
