Stored XSS via unescaped Quiz URL Slug
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Quiz and Survey Master before 7.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the Quiz URL Slug setting. The plugin stores that administrator-controlled setting and outputs it on quiz pages without context-appropriate escaping, so injected markup becomes executable browser content. High-privilege access is required to change the setting, and script execution occurs when a user opens an affected page.
