Contributor-level SQL injection via unescaped loader_id
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in MAZ Loader – Preloader Builder for WordPress before 1.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to read WordPress database data. The mzldr shortcode passes its unvalidated, unescaped loader_id attribute into a database query, allowing injected UNION clauses to alter the query. Contributor-level access and the ability to create or preview shortcode content are required; successful exploitation can disclose account names and password hashes.
