Stored XSS via unsanitized plugin settings
Published Aug 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Erident Custom Login and Dashboard before 3.5.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via plugin settings. The settings handler accepts an XSS payload in fields such as Powered by Text without neutralizing it before the value is stored and rendered. High-privilege access to the settings page is required, and viewing the poisoned interface executes attacker-controlled script in that viewer's browser.
