Cookie Bar before 1.8.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute stored cross-site scripts via the Cookie Bar Message setting. The plugin stores the message without sufficient sanitization and later renders attacker-controlled markup, allowing script execution when an administrator or other privileged user views the bar. Exploitation requires a high-privilege WordPress account and victim interaction with affected pages; confidentiality and integrity impact are limited to the browser context.
