CVE-2021-24639Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file deletion via unchecked AJAX path

Published Sep 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Arbitrary file deletion in OMGF before 4.5.4 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files and folders through an AJAX request. The omgf_ajax_empty_dir action accepts a caller-supplied path and empties it without path validation, authorization, or a CSRF check. Any authenticated WordPress account can reach the action, and deletion can remove files or directories outside the plugin cache.
