Administrator SQL injection via category parameters
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Web-Dorado SpiderCatalog 1.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL through category creation. Categories.php concatenates the parent and ordering POST values directly into a SELECT statement without sanitization, validation, or escaping. Administrator access to the WordPress dashboard is required, and the demonstrated payload discloses database information indirectly through response timing.
