Stored XSS via unescaped form-field labels
Published Oct 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WP Ticket before 5.10.4 allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to run scripts through form labels. The Editing Form accepts script-bearing Label values and returns them to the form-list interface without contextual output escaping. Administrator-level access is required to store the payload, and execution requires a user to reload the affected editing page, exposing that user's browser session to script actions.
