Reflected XSS via unescaped op_edit parameter
Published Oct 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in GamePress – The Game Database Plugin 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted request. Multiple Game Option pages output the attacker-controlled op_edit POST parameter without escaping it for the surrounding HTML context. Exploitation requires a user with access to an affected page to follow or submit the request, after which the script runs in that user's site context.
