Admin-level stored XSS via unescaped image URL
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in AddToAny Share Buttons before 1.7.48 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the Image URL setting. The plugin stores the administrator-supplied Image URL and emits it into share-button markup without output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and the payload executes when another user loads the affected page, enabling script actions in that user's browser.
