Stored XSS via unescaped form labels
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Formidable Forms before 5.0.07 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted form field label. The form builder stores label markup without sanitizing it and renders the label without escaping when the form is viewed or previewed. A high-privileged user must be able to create or edit a form, and another user must view or preview it for the script to run.
