Stored XSS via unsanitized plugin settings
Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Google Language Translator before 6.0.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The settings handler stores administrator-supplied HTML without sanitization, and plugin pages later render those values without output escaping. Administrator-level access is required to plant the payload, and a visitor must load an affected page; execution is limited to that browser context.
