Published Sep 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in GDPR Info Free Cookie Notice & Consent Banner before 1.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary HTML. The Customize Design wizard stores the Info Text field without adequate sanitization, causing a crafted HTML payload to execute when the resulting page is viewed. WordPress administrator access is required to publish the payload, and a viewer must load the affected output; successful exploitation runs script in that viewer's browser.
