Authenticated stored XSS via unescaped dashboard settings
Published Sep 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Zeesweb Team's Splash Header before 1.20.8 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through plugin settings. The plugin stores settings without adequate sanitization and renders them unescaped in its WordPress administration dashboard. An authenticated user able to change those settings can persist browser-executable content that runs when an administrator views the affected dashboard output.
