CVE-2021-24583Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Contributor-level timeslot deletion via unchecked AJAX action

Published Sep 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper access control in Timetable and Event Schedule before 2.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary event timeslots. The route_url AJAX handler accepts an attacker-chosen timeslot ID with mptt_action=delete without object-level authorization or a CSRF nonce. Contributor-level edit_posts capability suffices, and a crafted cross-site form can trigger deletion through a logged-in contributor's browser.
