Stored XSS via unsanitized accordion item titles
Published Oct 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Easy Accordion before 2.0.22 allows remote authenticated administrators to execute scripts through accordion item titles. The item-creation path stores an accordion title without neutralizing an injected closing script tag and image error handler, then renders it in wp-admin and published accordion pages. Administrator access is required to save the title, and execution occurs when an administrator or site visitor views the affected accordion.
