Unauthenticated SQL injection via jal_edit_comments parameter
Published Aug 23, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Andrew Sutherland Edit Comments 0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute SQL via a crafted GET parameter. The plugin places the unsanitized, unvalidated, and unescaped jal_edit_comments value into an SQL statement. No authentication is required, and the published proof of concept shows that a time-based query can delay database processing.
