Administrator-stored XSS via publisher ID field
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Mimetic Books 0.2.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a publisher setting. The Default Publisher ID field stores an injected script in the database without neutralizing it and later renders it in the settings workflow. Administrator access is required to save the value, and execution occurs when a browser triggers the affected functionality.
