Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped slider options
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in MotoPress Slider Lite 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in an administrator's browser. The plugin stores unsanitized Slider Title and option values and renders them without escaping in the slider list and edit views. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to plant a payload; execution when an administrator views either page can enable rogue account creation.
