Authenticated stored XSS via unescaped book metadata
Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in the Current Book WordPress plugin 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a viewer's browser. The plugin stores unsanitized Book Title and Author values and renders them without output escaping on its Tools page. An authenticated account must save a crafted value, and a later view of that functionality executes the payload in the viewer's site context.
